This exceptional herbal tea has a unique floral fragrance, sweet aromatic flavor, and interesting history. The name derives from its yellowish appearance and it has been described by many botanists as resembling the appearance of the linden flower. The linden flower is native to Southern Asia and the name was given to the plant because it resembles a linden blossom more closely than any other species of the cactus family.

Turkeys and other wild games are regularly caught and brought to the gardens of the sages and they are usually fed to animals to regain strength. As part of the ritual, the internal organs of the animals are stripped and fed to the turkeys. This is how the yellow-colored tea was made.

Turkey is a country where the tradition of feeding wild turkeys to the family members as part of their ritualistic observances continues today. The Turkish sages knew that their consumption of this special tea would make their strength and vigor return but they also realized that the sweet taste of the tea helped to revitalize their mind and body.

In fact many years ago when Turkey was without any antibiotics, the people consumed the turkey and linden flower tea daily and then used the resulting Cayenne pepper paste to treat infections of all kinds in the body including the throat, stomach, and prostate. Many medical practitioners believe that Cayenne pepper can actually be used as a drug against cancer and it is believed that the tea turkey was used as a way to detoxify the entire body. There are even those who believe that this special herbal tea can prevent the formation of leukemia in human beings and there have been several types of research in this area trying to find out if this is true.

It should be noted that while the Turkish sages did introduce this special tea to the west, modern science has had little success in finding the chemical composition of this tea. One study did find that there were compounds within the Cayenne pepper that could help to reduce blood clots. But other studies have failed to reproduce these results and instead have shown that drinking tea actually reduces blood clotting. The scientists did conclude, however, that further studies must be done. Other scientists agree that while the compounds within the tea are beneficial, it is the Cayenne pepper that does have the most beneficial health effect.

The benefits of drinking this tea have led to the brewing of an entire variety of this tea for consumption. You can get this tea in different forms such as green tea and also you can purchase capsules. You will also find that many of the stores now sell this tea in capsule form. When purchasing capsules you should make sure that they are real and not loaded with dangerous contaminants. This Turkish sage extract is certainly a healthy addition to your diet.
